“I’m so so excited that HOL exists. My parents were refugees from the Khmer Rouge and being born and raised in the states, navigating my Lao/SE Asian American experience was kind of lonely. Unfortunately I didn’t have the experience growing up with Lao friends to bond with in my Lao-American experience, but I’m lucky to have my family and HOL to feel seen, heard, and loved :) thank you for amplifying our stories and doing something so powerful for the Lao community.
