Christy Innouvong-Thornton
Christy (she/her) is a proud daughter of Lao Isan refugees, with a background spanning nonprofit initiatives, international development, and hospitality operations. She has designed and led culturally grounded programs with a strong focus on uplifting and investing in Southeast Asian communities. As a self-proclaimed "Hustla and Humanitarian", she brings entrepreneurial resilience, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to creating meaningful, measurable impact.
Tina Meetran
Tina (she/her) is a Laotian-America woman, Providence-based visual artist, children’s book author, and nonprofit leader who uses art, storytelling, and community building to advance equity and representation. With a background in watercolor, digital illustration, and nonprofit work, she’s best known for her debut Nana Makes Spring Rolls and her ongoing efforts to empower communities through culture, education and leadership.
Aleena Inthaly
Aleena Inthaly (she/her) is a Washington, DC–based events producer and cultural curator championing the Lao Food Movement—preserving Lao cuisine, language, and ceremonies for future generations. From launching the inaugural Lao Food Festival to producing gatherings that center healing and heritage, she brings chefs, artists, and community together in celebration of Lao culture. Through storytelling, education, and the Baci (Su Kwan) ceremony, her work carries tradition forward with intention and heart.
April Limsana-Tran
April (she/her) is a Lao Canadian community healer, yoga/meditation instructor and massage therapist. She began her practice in healing during 2009, and in 2016 she gained her yoga certification from Karma Yoga. Since then, she has accumulated over 800 hours of practice, studying and teaching trauma-informed yoga and Ayurveda. April is also passionate about plant medicine, growing her own food and currently works at a legal cannabis production to ensure quality assurance.
